One year old for one cute little buddy!

Grayson is one!   My oh my what a first year he has had!   He has battled and overcome meningitis, and boy oh boy he is a great kiddo.   Cuteness galore, I could just pinch him and make him mine for just a little while.   Not having any boys of my own, it would be fun to have a little guy around the house!   I am so glad that him and his mom and dad have come to me again to take his pictures.   What an honor it is to capture Grayson!   Always a privilege to be able to hang out and capture his memories!!

Oh the sweet things in life

Last week I was called by a wonderful mother, Danielle who just had her baby 5 days prior to capturing this sweet little bundle.    How in the world could I say "No" to being able to snuggle up a little bundle of love?   I just couldnt!   My girls are growing so old, that when I get a chance to snuggle up and love on a little on, it is a honor of mine!
I not only was able to snuggle up little Kora, but I was able to hang out and play with her big sister Brynly as well.   I loved capturing her, her black and whites remind me of a little Marilyn Monroe with her cute blonde pig tails!   How fun that was to hang out on the playground while mom fed little sis, and her voice is just the cutest!   I wanted to try out a different editing technique that I have been trying to figure out for some time, and it just makes the black and whites look so dreamy.   Dont worry, Danielle, I did all the pics in color as well, I just LOVE the black and whites!
Thank you, Danielle for hanging out with me last week and giving me the honor of capturing your little blessings!

To be mommy and daddy

Stephanie grew up all her life in a farming family.   She was born and raised on a farm.   A beautiful farm I might add.  She and Nathan grew up in different locations.   Nathan grew up in Seattle, WA. their eyes met when they went to Calvin College, and they fell in love.  They then became married and moved to Atlanta, GA.   Their new chapter together is beginning a family.   Little Kooi is growing away and they are more than excited to bring this new little one into the world.   All of the decisions to make - names to decide on, is the baby a boy or a girl? What do we decorate the room like?   Who will be in charge of diaper changing - NATHAN!  Ha ha!
I was beyond excited when Stephanie emailed me and asked me to take maternity pictures of her on the farm that means so much to her when she came up for a visit this past weekend.   We spent some time walking around the historic farm and I didnt want to miss out on any part of it.
Thank you so much Nathan and Stephanie for hanging out with me for a while, and giving me the honor of capturing your beautiful and cute, I might add, belly.   You two are fabulous and I wish you nothing but the blessings for you and your new little bundle of love.
