Becca and Brian - engaged!

I seriously think that I have the coolest couples that come to me for engagement and weddings.   Becca and Brian are yet another one to add to my super cool, fun and so in love couples.    Becca and Brian were just not so far from each other growing up, and went to schools that rivaled each other.   They met each other while volunteering at a special needs week at the Christian Reformed Conference Grounds.   They both have such big hearts, and enjoy volunteering and meeting the needs of others.  After meeting each other at this special place, they found out that they had some "like" for each other and then ended up going to each others proms.   You could call them high school sweethearts, without going to each others high school.  Not sure then if you can call them high school sweethearts.   After high school they then went to the same college, so maybe you could call them college sweethearts.

Beccas mom became the scheduler for alot of her wedding needs as Becca goes to school out of state, but will be getting married here in Michigan.   She told me that they had some engagement pictures already taken in the state that they go to school.    I still insisted that we go out for 20 minutes, to get to know each other and get a feel for each other before the actual wedding.   We went out on one of the first sunshiney somewhat warm days of this long winter of Michigan.   What a cute couple they are and it was so much fun to get to know them for just a few moments.   Looking forward to their wonderful wedding in August.   

Brady and Denae - engaged!

Last week Saturday was the 5th engagement shoot that I did in the snow.   Something about the snow is just so subtle, and makes the colors pop out so vividly!   Again, I am not a fan of the cold, but its starting to warm up here in Michigan a little.   Not wearing our coats for a little bit was a.o.k.   Braedy and Denae, are getting married this coming August, and I am so excited to capture their love.   We had a fun day on the campus of Kuyper where they met and had their first official date walking dogs in the woods.   They are so fun to hang out with their love for each other just shows as they couldnt stop laughing and giggling and just smiling at each other.   To capture them is such an honor.   It was very hard to pick just a few pics for the blog, as there is so many that just capture them to the fullest.   Thanks Brady and Denae, looking forward to August.

Andrew and Shawnna - engaged

When I met with Shawnna and Andy for the first time I thought what a fun couple!   Then I talked to both of them and asked them what their idea was for an engagement shoot.   Andy told me that Shawnna wanted it done in the snow!   Shawnna fully agreed to her wants and I thought, it will be pretty, but cold, and I am not a huge fan of the cold, but I will do whatever the couple wants.   That idea that she had was back in January.   Little did we know that we were going to get this much snow.   Our first date for pictures was canceled due to a yucky rainy slushy snow day so we canceled that one.   The next day that we planned was planned for a 20 degree day with windshields in the negatives, but we still decided to play it out.   It was cold, but worth it.   We still had fun.   So excited for their wedding next October, when hopefully it will be slightly warmer!  :)
